MILES REDD, Interior Designer
Raised in Atlanta, Miles Redd moved to New York to study film at New York University. More interested in set design, he began working for antiques dealer John Rosselli after graduation, which would serve as a hands-on education in furniture and the decorative arts. Later hired by decorator Bunny Williams, Redd honed his eye as a shopper and design assistant, combing the 26th Street flea market and frequenting the great antiquarians for beautiful finds. His tiny East Village apartment became a laboratory for his particular brand of cozy glamour: he painted the floor in an emerald green harlequin pattern, stacked books to the ceiling, and hung works of art ranging from his own figure drawings to a 19th century copy of a Velásquez Infanta. This playful mix of high and low, emboldened by color and modern gestures but grounded in practicality, would come to define Redd's style.
After a brief stint studying painting in Lacoste, France, he returned to New York and began decorating friends' apartments. One job led to another and in 1998 Redd opened his own office in Noho. At ease working in a variety of styles and settings, he relies on innovation and imagination to create comfortable, elegant interiors that express a client's personality. Traditional room arrangements find their foil in juxtapositions of surface texture—lacquer and plaster, satin and linen—but without becoming precious. He believes in a pragmatic approach to living well and finds the best collaborations come from a meeting of the minds and a shared sense of humor.
Having completed many New York apartments, Redd has also worked on such diverse projects as a Miami Beach condominium, a ranch in Wyoming and a farmhouse in the South of France. He is currently decorating an Upper East Side townhouse, a house in San Francisco, and a Nantucket beach house. Redd also lends his time to organizations like Housing Works and the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. His work has been featured in New York Magazine, Vogue, House Beautiful, Elle Décor, House & Garden, W, and Town & Country. In 2003, Redd was named creative director of Oscar de la Renta Home.
EDDIE ROSS, Designer
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Eddie began his career working in television, first as a food editor on Martha Stewart Living and later as Associate Design Director for all in-house production at Food Network.
After a two-year stint running his own catering company, where he continued to refine his skills in decorating and entertaining, Eddie made the move to publishing. As Associate Decorating Editor at House Beautiful, he produced the popular “Weekend Shopper,” a monthly article for which he’d travel to flea markets around the country, giving new life to old things.
For one story, Eddie found antique corbels from an old church in Richmond, painted them white, then used them for bed hangings.
As the Senior Style Editor of Martha Stewart Living, Eddie continued to inspire readers with clever ways of integrating new and vintage furniture and objects into clean, classic design.
Eddie produced consistently beautiful stories that related to a variety of people’s tastes and budgets. For a story on decorating with wallpaper, Eddie painted a reproduction secretary a glossy yellow, then hung faux bois paper in watermelon on the interior.
In 2008, after appearing on season two of Bravo's Top Design, Eddie took a brief hiatus from publishing to co-found a lifestyle company with partner Jaithan Kochar, a graduate of Stanford University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
Based in northwest Connecticut, Eddie Ross is a design studio and creative marketing consultancy, offering interior design, styling and event production services targeting print and social media. With columns in two of the most widely circulated magazines in the country, Woman's Day and Southern Living, together with a daily blog on decorating and entertaining beautifully and affordably, Eddie Ross leverages its unique position as a design studio with a voice, creating for its clients a compelling combination of both beauty and awareness. Clients include Ralph Lauren, Bloomingdale's, JCPenney, Lowe's, Sears, Kmart, Pottery Barn, Time Inc., Hachette Filipacchi Media, Larson-Juhl, Gracious Home, Carleton V, Calico Corners and Creative Candles.
In October 2009, Eddie appeared on the HGTV special Halloween Block Party in which he transformed the classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, into a beautiful, budget-friendly party. Shortly thereafter, he appeared on Celebrity Holiday Homes, another HGTV special in which he decorated Kathie Lee Gifford's house for the holidays.
SUZANNE RHEINSTEIN, Garden Lecturer

Suzanne Rheinstein is an internationally recognized interior designer and the owner of Hollyhock, the renowned home furnishing and accessories shop, known for its unique antiques and decorative pieces. Her signature style is often described as elegant civility—“fewer things but better things”- encompassing a mixture of beautiful objects, furniture styles, personal art, painted surfaces, and great attention to comfort, textures, details and light.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Suzanne has a deep appreciation for the traditions of that city. Her Southern sense of style and hospitality, the visual sophistication she acquired living on the East Coast and her appreciation for the relaxed lifestyle of southern California have made her a sought-after talent.
Her first book, At Home: A Style for Today with Things from the Past, (Rizzoli, November 2010) focuses on six of her signature projects, including her own homes in Los Angeles and New York City. Each of the projects is documented in extensive, loving detail. As Mayer Rus states in his review, “…the pages of At Home are rife with graciousness and beauty, sentimentality and connoisseurship, sophistication and savoir faire.” Each home exemplifies her personal mantra; “every day is all there is” (Joan Didion), demonstrating how living well every day is much more important than getting your house together for a special occasion. The Wall Street Journal named the book a best seller.
Suzanne has created two collections of fabrics for Lee Jofa. Antique textiles from her personal collection inspire beautiful prints, weaves and embroideries. Refined silk, mohair, linen and cotton provide the perfect foundation for her fresh and understated interpretations of centuries-old designs. The colors encompass her soft, subtle palette of blues, greens, soft neutrals, yellows and lavenders. Her rug collection for Lee Jofa will debut in 2012.
Suzanne and her work have been featured in numerous regional and national magazines, books and blogs. She has received several significant design awards and was recently named as one of ELLE DECOR’s A-List of Top Designers for 2011.
